Evidence-Based Practice
Reflective Training (RT)
Reflective Training (RT) is a proven method for learning counseling and psychological intervention skills.
It uses strategic practice that is based on objective, performance-based feedback, modeling of techniques and peer-to-peer consultation.
About This Practice
What is RT?
Reflective Training is a flexible, online, practice-based training model designed to help clinicians turn knowledge into skill. Unlike traditional continuing education that builds knowledge alone, RT is built around strategic practice with objective, performance-based feedback, modeling of techniques, and peer-to-peer consultation.
RT is offered through live, one-hour online group sessions led by a human coach. Participants choose a training area and a course length, then attend sessions at their own pace — approximately one session per week. Each session combines practice, feedback, and integration activities to steadily build real-world clinical competency.
RT can be used to reinforce skills from other evidence-based practice trainings, such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Suicide Safety Planning, and Social Cognition Training, or to develop new competencies in areas including Behavioral Activation, DBT, ACT, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Texas Two-Step.

Skill-Based Learning That Sticks
Unlike knowledge-only CE formats, RT's practice-feedback-integration model is designed to produce durable clinical skill gains that transfer directly to real-world sessions with clients.
Objective, Performance-Based Feedback
Structured roleplay and video review give clinicians concrete, measurable feedback on their technique — replacing subjective impressions with data-driven insight into growth areas.
Reinforces Your Existing EBP Training
RT is specifically designed to complement other evidence-based practice trainings, helping practitioners deepen competency in approaches they've already been introduced to — including MI, CBT, SCIT, and Suicide Safety Planning.
