Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor Training

This training is available by invitation only to designated Managed Care Organizations (MCO), their behavioral health affiliates and direct service support and long-term care providers.

**Webcam and audio are necessary the duration of the training for anyone wishing to participate. This training will be conducted similar to in-person training with expectation of interaction and role plays.

This 3-day virtual training via Zoom prepares individuals to become instructors of the Adult Mental Health First Aid workshop. MHFA teaches members of the public how to help an adult who is developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. Mental Health First Aid does not teach people to treat or diagnose mental health or substance use conditions. Instead, the training teaches people how to offer initial support until appropriate professional help is received or until the crisis resolves.

In order for your registration to be complete, an application is required. Instructions for completing the application will be emailed to you after enrollment.
