**Webcam and audio are necessary the duration of the
training for anyone wishing to participate. This training will be conducted
similar to in-person training with expectation of interaction and role plays.

Pre-Requisite: You must have completed Part 1
“Motivational Interviewing – Introduction” (provided by ICEEBP – TX
Promoting Independence) to enroll in Motivational Interviewing (MI) Obesity & Substance Use Disorder (SUD) in Pregnancy.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) Obesity & Substance Use Disorder (SUD) in Pregnancy focuses on advancing
skills and practicing the core strategies of Motivational Interviewing that
engages the persons’ intrinsic motivation to change toward healthier behavior.
In this training participants will review basic MI concepts and apply them to
working with pregnant individuals with obesity and/or substance use conditions.

This is a 3.5-hour virtual training via Zoom consisting of
classroom teaching followed by practicing learned skills through partnered role
plays.

This training provides 3.25 hours of Continuing Education
Credits for the following licenses: Psychologist, Professional Counselor,
Psychological Associate, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapist, Chemical
Dependency Counselor and Supported Employment Specialist. Upon successful
completion of the training, you will earn a certificate of completion and (if
applicable) continuing education credit.

Funding for all training opportunities is provided by the
Texas Health and Human Services Commission and is only offered to Texas
residents.
