This
training is available by invitation only to designated Managed Care
Organizations (MCO) and their behavioral health affiliates.   

Webcam
and audio necessary as this will be conducted similar to in person
training with expectation of interaction and role plays.

Pre-requisite: This training is Part 2 of Motivational Interviewing and you
must have completed Part 1 “Motivational Interviewing – Introduction”
(provided by ICEEBP – TX Promoting Independence) at least 3 months prior to enrolling in Part 2.

MI-Intermediate focuses on advancing skills and practicing the core strategies of Motivational Interviewing.

This
is a 2-day virtual training via Zoom consisting of classroom teaching
followed by practicing learned skills through partnered role plays.

This
training provides 14 hours of Continuing Education Credits for the
following licenses: Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Psychological
Associate, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapist, Chemical
Dependency Counselor, Peer Specialist, Supported Employment Specialist
and Certified Family Partner. Upon successful completion of the
training, you will earn a certificate of completion and (if applicable)
continuing education credit.

Funding for all training
opportunities is provided by the Texas Health and Human Services
Commission and is only offered to Texas residents.
