Description
This training is available by invitation only to
designated Managed Care Organizations (MCO) and affiliated providers of long-term
services and supports (LTSS).
**Webcam and audio are
necessary the duration of the training for anyone wishing to participate. This
training will be conducted similar to in-person training with expectation of
interaction and role plays.
This training teaches participants how to help someone who is developing a
mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The evidence behind
the program demonstrates that it helps trainees identify, understand and
respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders.
This
training provides 8 hours of Continuing Education Credits for the following
licenses: Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Psychological Associate, Social
Work, Marriage and Family Therapist and Chemical Dependency Counselor. Upon
successful completion of the training, you will earn a certificate of completion
and (if applicable) continuing education credit.
Funding for all in-person training
opportunities is provided by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and
is only offered to Texas residents.
