Cognitive Adaptation Training (CAT) Basic: April 20-21, 2022

Description

This training is available by invitation only to designated Managed Care Organizations (MCO) and their behavioral health affiliates.

**Webcam and audio is necessary the duration of the training for anyone wishing to participate. This training will be conducted similar to in person training with expectation of interaction and role plays.

This is a 2-day virtual training via Zoom consisting of classroom teaching each morning followed by practicing learned skills each afternoon via Telehealth.  Telehealth visits consist of conducting assessments and establishing supports according
to the treatment manual. This training is best suited for field based staff who provide regular telehealth visits to individuals over a prolonged period of time.

Prerequisites: You must separately enroll
and complete the CAT eLearning course 7-days to the in-person or virtual workshop. If you do not successfully complete the eLearning course by Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 9:00 am CST you will be asked
to reschedule for a later date.  Please enroll in and complete the eLearning course. This eLearning course provides 2.5 hours of Continuing
Education Credits for the following licenses: Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Psychological Associate, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapist, and Chemical Dependency. Upon successful completion of the eLearning course, you will earn a certificate of completion and (if applicable) continuing education credit.

Funding for all training opportunities is provided by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and is only offered to Texas residents.

This
training provides 8 hours of Continuing Education Credits for the following
licenses: Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Psychological Associate, Social
Work, Marriage and Family Therapist, and Chemical Dependency Counselor. Upon
successful completion of the training, you will earn a certificate of
completion and (if applicable) continuing education credit.
